According to Foresight News , the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's (SEC) Office of Investor Education and Assistance has released an investor bulletin regarding cryptocurrency custody, aiming to help retail investors understand how to hold crypto assets. The bulletin includes an introduction to cryptocurrency custody, cold wallets versus hot wallets, and self-custody versus third-party custody.
In addition to the introduction, the SEC also provides considerations when choosing third-party custody and advice on protecting crypto assets.
