Any counters to Stats’ view that there’s no reason for CT to care about Polymarket or Kalshi’s success because they aren’t investable and don’t pump our existing bags?

gm. Was thinking more about @rasmr_eth’s point that we on CT have no reason to care about prediction markets. And I wanted to double down on this point so I made a video.
One immediate counter is anyone farming Polymarket at least thinks they have token exposure via a potential airdrop (point applies to other PM’s with tokens as well)
More opportunity for me to dominate
Less competition from the content perspective
Capitalize on the interest from outside CT
🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Huge opportunity for creators I would agree
Would agree he’s not saying they’re bad
Just asking why this cohort of people specifically should care
Tokens / incentives is the obvious first response I think
Longer discussion to be had about why we should care about economic / political markets
You’re forgetting how much of a meme Blast and others have made of “I should pump this VC-backed product cause I might get an airdrop”.
There’s downstream effects from apps building on Kalshi or Polymarket that you could get financial exposure to
But also crypto apps breaking out into the main markets could funnel more users into the eco who explore other apps
Definitely agree on point one, and more defi primitives will make pred markets even more interesting
Point 2 I think we are still in wait and see mode but hope it plays out
