Plume, a permissionless open blockchain platform promoting real asset finance (RWAfi), is accelerating its global expansion with a listing on Coinbase, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the United States. This consecutive listing comes just two weeks after its listing on Upbit's KRW market, signaling a rapid growth in its presence in the RWA sector.
Plume's native token, "PLUME," is an ERC-20 token built on the Ethereum network. It serves as infrastructure that connects the value of real-world assets (RWAs) on the blockchain and enables on-chain trading and settlement. The token can be traded for spot value through Coinbase's web and mobile apps, as well as Coinbase Advanced.
Coinbase is a global exchange with approximately 120 million monthly users in over 100 countries. With this listing, Plume significantly expands its reach to global investors, including those in North America and Europe. Following its entry into Upbit's KRW market, which secured domestic liquidity, Plume is rapidly expanding its distribution base by connecting to global standard trading infrastructure.
Currently, Plume is traded on major domestic and international centralized exchanges, including Binance, Kraken, Bitget, and Bithumb, as well as DeFi platforms like PancakeSwap. This structure, which simultaneously encompasses centralized exchanges and DeFi, is considered a key factor in increasing the liquidity and accessibility of the RWA token. To protect users, the Plume Foundation repeatedly emphasizes verifying the official contract address for deposits and withdrawals.
The ecosystem's expansion is also accelerating. Flume has built a RWA investor base of over 280,000 participants and recently launched five "RWA Nest Vaults" on the Solana network, embarking on a multi-chain strategy. This is interpreted as an attempt to expand the Ethereum-centric RWA infrastructure to Solana, broadening options in terms of speed and cost.
The industry sees Plume's successive listings as a sign that the RWA token has truly entered the global distribution stage, going beyond simple expansion of trading support. Amidst intensifying competition for RWA infrastructure, which connects institutional assets with on-chain assets, attention is focused on what real-world use cases Plume will develop using its entry into major exchanges as a springboard.
