Trump: I don't need international law

Odaily Odaily reports that US President Donald Trump declared Wednesday evening that, as Commander-in-Chief, his power is limited only by his "own moral code," disregarding international law and other checks and balances that restrict his use of military force to strike, invade, or pressure other countries around the world. In a wide-ranging interview with The New York Times, when asked if his global power was subject to any limitations, Trump replied, "Yes, one thing is certain. That's my own moral code and my personal will. That's the only thing that can stop me." "I don't need international law," he added. "I have no intention of hurting anyone." When further pressed on whether his administration was required to abide by international law, Mr. Trump replied, "Of course I will." However, he made it clear that he would act as the final arbiter when those constraints applied to the United States. He stated, "It depends on how you define international law."
