Popular Chinese memes can short! Recently, with the launch of #BinanceLife on Binance Spot, Chinese memes have gone viral, with a surge in popular ones like #I'mComing, #LifeKLine, #Laozi, and #DarkHorse. Some memes have risen so ridiculously that I even short them, but unfortunately, I can't find a place to do so. I only discovered today that the Gate.io exchange has a section where you can trade these popular Chinese meme coins with leverage—Gate's ETF section. Gate.io has always been quick to follow trends, and they launch memes extremely fast. I even found that the #IamHereIsHere ETF has been launched on Gate.io, where you can buy ETF products with 3x short for long or short positions. The ETFs on the Gate platform are different from traditional ETF products. Instead, they are financial derivatives that track the price fluctuations of the underlying asset through perpetual contracts and amplify them by 3x/5x. This meets people's needs for capital efficiency without the cumbersome operations of contracts; they can be bought and sold like spot trading.
