CZ responds to Hu Zuliu's warning that AI amplifies financial risks: The problem is not technology, but rather the hidden dangers of the traditional bank's fractional reserve system.

According to Mars Finance, Hu Zuliu, founder of Primavera Capital, and CZ, founder of Binance, shared the stage at the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026. Addressing Hu Zuliu's concerns about the potential systemic risks induced by generative AI, CZ stated that the root of financial risk lies not in technology, but in the fundamental flaws of the traditional banking system. If the financial system itself is healthy, more efficient and cheaper technologies will always outweigh the disadvantages. CZ also pointed out that the real risk lies in the traditional banking system's "fractional reserve system." Under this system, once banks face liquidity pressures, convenient withdrawals through technology only reveal their insufficient funds, and "slowing down withdrawals" does not solve the fundamental problem.
