The FT reports that the U.S. is planning a large arms sale to Taiwan, while the Chinese government has privately warned that the move could jeopardize President Trump's state visit to China in April. The proposed arms sale would include four systems: in addition to the Patriot missile defense system, the U.S. would allow Taiwan to purchase more of Norway's Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS), as well as two other weapons systems.
