a lot of developers are scared about what's happening with ai, but if you play this right, your skillset can be much more valuable than it is today, not the other way around you can't sit around and watch things move ahead in front of you without taking action and staying on the forefront / bleeding edge there are a lot of similarities to things that happened in the past. if you were an early react expert there were insane opportunities, if you were an early iOS expert the same was true, the same has been true for a lot of technical expertise (early movers and experts gained the most) imo that opportunity now is agent orchestration, for anyone who can become a real expert they'll be 100x more productive (hint hint - more valuable) than they used to be and at least 10x more productive than people who are not experts / who are lazy this time developers need to expand beyond pure technical skills and also learn to manage because when you think about it, agent orchestration is has a lot of similarities to management, the main difference is that your direct reports - never sleep - never call in sick - never quit - never need motivation - get better at their job every single month start learning how to be an expert and power user, the window to become an early expert is open right now but it won't stay open forever
