You are full of shit Sanders. You don’t have any actual sympathy for the poor. My parents landed in the states from the USSR with $50 per person. They worked their asses off in hard blue collar jobs and the biggest charity that we received was that a town with high property taxes and great schools with stem classes built new market rate homes. Taxing all the billionaires and giving money away would not be a charity. If my parents would have recieved the cash they would have had to push some other blue collar family out of a home in that neighborhood. This is the charity that you refuse to afford for anyone else, because it requires a real sacrifice. If you actually built more homes in Vermont then the price of homes of the people who vote you in would be lower. If you actually built more hospitals in Vermont then the price people that vote for you could charge for healthcare would be lower. Helping the poor requires creating net new wealth. Creating net new wealth requires a sacrifice. Because there is more wealth to go around, so those who hoard it can’t charge as much for it. So you can’t run on actually measurably helping the poor, you can only run on punish the rich.
