crypto underperformance is not new it's operating the way it's supposed to, as high-beta risk I've seen way too many people use the weakness relative to stocks as of recent to proclaim that crypto is dead forever it's truly incredible how people allow themselves to be caught off-guard by normal market movements same people who will come back to write threads about how Fartcoin is going to disrupt traditional finance at the highs. nothing new under the sun.

I think people forget very easily just how quickly and aggressively this space moves when it does. Lots of time to think about how shit it is when everything else is either pumping or not dumping. The past 3 months have just compounded feelings for people watching metals rip and crypto suffer at every turn. But as you rightly point out, high-beta risk market, and as a result exceptional when we start trending upwards again.

exactly. it's a beautiful thing that we get to trade it the same way as every year for the past 8 years cause what we're seeing is nothing new under the sun which means the upside will be largely the same as well and somehow people will allow themselves to be caught off-guard by it all over again markets really are fascinating🤝
