On February 27, Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley posted on social media regarding the recent topic of AI replacing human labor, stating:
Handwritten cards may not be as clear or aesthetically pleasing as printed cards, but they are more meaningful and valuable. As printers have made technical sophistication readily available, value has shifted to those versions that require more effort, have more imperfections, and are more unique and rare.
Artificial intelligence will have the same impact on many things. Counterintuitively, perfection will no longer be valued as much, while inefficiency and imperfection will be valued more. This pattern is certainly ubiquitous: a vintage Porsche is valued more than a modern Porsche with superior performance, a handcrafted watch, an original work of art versus an identical print.
Humans will create "meaning" for things that require more effort and give them higher value.
