Reports suggest $200M–$270M+ may have been drained in the @DriftProtocol exploit, with funds already moving off Solana.
We're tracking the funds cross-chain. If you're using our Risk API, on any chain, you can track or prevent the stolen funds from entering your app.

Drift Protocol is experiencing an active attack. Deposits and withdrawals have been suspended. We are coordinating with multiple security firms, bridges, and exchanges to contain the incident. This is not an April Fools joke. We’ll provide additional updates from this account as x.com/DriftProtocol/…

A full post-mortem will likely be issued in a few days. In the meantime, what we know so far:
- Attacker gained admin control (likely via compromised keys)
- Listed a malicious CVT collateral market
- Inflated its value and loosened risk parameters
- Which then enabled large withdrawals against fake collateral
- Some of which was exfiltrated from solana via USDC/CCTP
This is one of the largest Solana DeFi exploits since the 2022 Wormhole bridge hack (~$325M).
