According to Mars Finance, the Ethereum Applications Guild (EAG) has officially launched. As a global non-profit collaborative organization, it aims to support the development of the Ethereum application ecosystem, promoting its expansion from the infrastructure stage to the application layer. Its operations revolve around four main directions: promoting real-world application deployment, connecting cross-domain ecosystem networks, establishing a unified evaluation and development framework, and building a sustainable funding mechanism. EAG will reportedly use a membership contribution system based on institutional size (such as valuation, market capitalization, or AUM) and will channel a portion of ETH staking rewards into an ecosystem growth fund through a staking reward donation mechanism. EAG also released its 2026 Global Applications and Developers Program, which will showcase developer education, hackathons, and research projects, and strengthen local developer communities through regional roadshows and ecosystem demonstrations.
