Did someone just burn 107 Bitcoin? 😱 According to the on-chain tracking account SaniExp, a wallet recently sent 107 BTC (~$8.2 million) to the well-known Bitcoin burn address 1111111111111111111114oLvT2, Chia into 5 transactions. 🔴 This address has no private key, so any coins sent here are lost permanently and cannot be recovered. Why do you think someone would be willing to burn $8.2 million like that? It's likely they intentionally pulled a big stunt to gain notoriety, because they need to know the wallet address for burning funds to send the money to, and they have to enter the correct address. It couldn't have been an accident or that I gave the phone to my child to play with and they accidentally transferred the money 🤔
