He sold because he felt the argument "ETH is Money" had essentially come true. Ethereum had reached a market Capital commensurate with its performance, and he saw little chance of ETH experiencing significant increases or decreases. Therefore, he shifted Capital to other opportunities in the market. Hoffman remains very bullish on the Ethereum network.
