Police arrested Chinese man Mingjian Su, 31, and his wife Yixi Li, 25, at one of the locations. At the scene of the arrest, the police seized more than 15 million baht in cash, property title deeds worth more than 60 million baht, 4 luxury condominium properties on Sukhumvit (approximately 128 million baht), 14 violent bears (a toys), 6 iPhones, several tablets and laptops, and several international designer bags.
More than 8.82 billion cryptocurrency scams involving 200,000 victims
The Thai police said that the amount of crime committed by the gang may exceed 10 billion baht (approximately 8.82 billion Taiwan dollars), and the number of victims has reached more than 200,000 , but the specific number is still not available because there are still other victims.
In addition, the staff also searched about 16 other suspicious points related to the above two people in the villa area, and preliminarily seized luxury cars, evidence materials, real estate title deeds and some cash, and the Kritha area also harvested after the search.
On the other hand, the Thai police found in this operation that criminal gangs used false identities to approach victims, and then lured them to invest in cryptocurrencies and various asset transactions on false platforms, involving an amount of 35 million baht.
