PANews reported on February 16 that according to Bloomberg, New York law firm Sullivan & Cromwell is expected to become an independent supervisory agency for Binance Holdings Ltd. The move comes after the cryptocurrency giant reached a multibillion-dollar settlement with the U.S. government. Sullivan & Cromwell is ahead of a slew of lawyers and consultants as a candidate, and a team led by Sharon Cohen Levin, a former federal prosecutor and partner at the firm, may assume the oversight role. Law firm Sullivan & Cromwell had previously handled FTX's bankruptcy.
