FWIW, I'd love to see CL devs chiming in on whether this is a headliner or not. The approach of shipping the *shortest slot we can achieve without giving up (geographical) decentralization* is very appealing to me. I just was under the impression that any slot time change (including making it longer) would be a headliner-type PR both in implementation and scope. If this assessment is incorrect I'm happy to support this data-driven EIP alongside another headliner. A commitment to this EIP is also very simple as long as we don't commit to timelines.

Just published the case for ⚡️🎰 Quick Slots in Hegota. TL;DR: build variable slot timing as a non-headliner alongside FOCIL. Do the perf work in the background. Go as fast as we safely can. Worst case? Status quo + a properly benchmarked CL. Best case? The biggest UX upgrade

This! @tkstanczak gets it 100%. There's no way that anyone reads Vitalik's latest post on special state and not think that that's precisely what rollups do, and that's what we will get when we have atomic composition. No point in complicating L1 when L2 *should* solve this.

Hey @aave, USDC on @arbitrum pays 2.17%a.a. and on mainnet it pays 4.10%a.a. Why can't I just click a button on your UI that will bridge and deposit on mainnet? Incidentally, why is the spread so high? how come no one can arbitrage this difference for a better UX?

Who in their right mind would want to travel to the US? Even Americans cross state may be afraid of traveling these days.
