World Liberty Financial, the DeFi project backed by the Trump family, is reportedly considering adding TRX to its Treasury.
World Liberty Financial may soon acquire TRON (TRX)
According to a CoinDesk source, the World Liberty Financial (WLFI) project, which is advised by the family of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, is about to add TRON (TRX) to the portfolio of assets held by the entity.

TRX is the native Token of the TRON blockchain, a platform founded by Justin Sun. In November 2024, Justin Sun invested $30 million in the WLFI Token and was appointed to the advisory board. Justin Sun is currently the largest individual investor in WLFI.
The CoinDesk source also revealed that a TRON representative will attend the Crypto Ball event in Wasington, D.C. this weekend. This is a party organized by David Sacks, the newly appointed Crypto and AI Advisor to the White House by President Trump, with the participation of many crypto companies in the U.S. In addition, the TRON representative will also be present at the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Trump on January 20 (U.S. time).
As previously reported by Coin68, World Liberty Financial has been accumulating leading DeFi Tokens in the Ethereum ecosystem such as ETH, ENA, ONDO, LINK and AAVE since December 2024, with the total asset value reaching over $80 million at one point. However, the fund has recently transferred $60 million in ETH to multiple wallet addresses, citing the purpose of treasury management.
