Key Web3 events this week (February 24 - March 2, 2024), here's a preview:
Monday (February 24): The Ethereum testnet Holesky is expected to activate the Pectra upgrade on February 24.
The time tokenization platform Time.fun will launch on the Solana mainnet on February 24.
Tuesday (February 25): Turkey's new crypto anti-money laundering regulations will take effect on February 25, 2025. Users with transactions exceeding 15,000 Turkish lira (about $425) must share identity information with crypto service providers. The new regulations aim to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing through crypto transactions. However, crypto service providers are not required to collect information on digital asset transfers below the $425 threshold.
CoinList will launch the Obol token sale at 1:00 AM Beijing time on February 25. For general users: FDV is $125 million, token price is $0.25, 33% unlocked 6 months after TGE, then linear unlock over 12 months. For wstETH or weETH holders: FDV is $115 million, token price is $0.23, 33% unlocked 6 months after TGE, then linear unlock over 12 months.
The decentralized autonomous organization VitaDAO, which aims to fund longevity research projects, announced that it will launch a new compound experiment token on the Pump Science platform on February 25.
Wednesday (February 26): Donald Trump Jr. will speak at the DeFi World 2025 conference on February 26.
Thursday (February 27): Sonic SVM, a Solana layer-2 gaming blockchain, announced that its mainnet Mobius will officially launch on February 27.
Friday (February 28): Optimism (OP) will unlock 31.34 million tokens, worth about $37.3 million, on February 28 at 8:00 AM, accounting for 1.93% of the circulating supply.
The Bitcoin Runes trading platform OdinSwap and Valhalla will cease operations, and users are advised to withdraw their funds before February 28. After February 28, any unclaimed balances will be manually refunded, subject to applicable Bitcoin network fees, or may take up to 1 month to complete.
The Japanese listed company Metaplanet will be included in the MSCI Japan Index after the market close on February 28, 2025.
Saturday (March 1): The 11.2 million SOL tokens from the FTX bankruptcy auction will be unlocked on March 1, worth about $2.06 billion. FTX had previously sold 41 million SOL in three auctions, with the top three buyers and their average purchase prices being: Galaxy (2.552 million SOL at $64, 187% return), Pantera and others (1.367 million SOL at $95, 93% return), and Figure and others (180,000 SOL at $102, 80% return).

Sui (SUI) will unlock 22.97 million tokens on March 1 at 8:00 AM, worth about $78.77 million, accounting for 0.74% of the circulating supply.
Sunday (March 2): ETHDenver 2025 will conclude on March 2, 2025.
Crypto Expo Europe will be held in Bucharest, Romania, from March 2-3, 2025.
