PANews reported on March 27 that the Cosmos development team is testing the extension of the Inter-Blockchain Communication Protocol (IBC) to Ethereum to enhance interoperability between blockchains. Maghnus Mareneck, co-CEO of Interchain Labs, stated that the team has successfully completed IBC transaction testing from Cosmos Hub to Ethereum, which is part of the upcoming Eureka upgrade and planned to be launched in IBC-go v10.

The IBC protocol is the core of the Cosmos ecosystem, aimed at enabling seamless transfer of assets and data between blockchains through light clients and relayers. This upgrade will promote IBC as a universal standard for blockchain communication, further connecting mainstream networks such as Ethereum and Solana.
