According to ChainCatcher and Cointelegraph, six digital economy industry associations in the UK recently jointly wrote to Prime Minister Keir Starmer's office, calling on the government to appoint a cryptocurrency envoy and develop a specialized digital asset development plan. The letter, submitted on March 31, was directly delivered to the Prime Minister's Special Advisor for Business and Investment, Varun Chandra, emphasizing the urgent need for the UK to "strengthen strategic focus" to promote investment, employment, and economic growth in the crypto sector.

The alliance members include the UK Crypto Asset Business Council, Global Digital Finance Association, Payments Association, Digital Currency Governance Group, Crypto Innovation Council, and Tech UK Association.
