According to ChainCatcher, RWA stablecoin yield protocol R2 has announced the completion of its deployment on the Plume testnet, marking a key step in its multi-chain strategy. Plume is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain focused on the RWA track (RWAFi), dedicated to providing infrastructure support for real asset tokenization.
Since the testnet launch 5 days ago, the R2 protocol has attracted over 55,000 global users for interaction. Users can obtain test tokens through Discord, experience functions such as minting R2USD, staking R2USD, BTC, ETH, and earn point rewards.
The official statement indicates that R2 will soon connect to more testnets, continuously expanding its multi-chain ecosystem and diversifying underlying asset access paths. R2 aims to build the next generation of stablecoin protocol with real yield, redeemability, and transparency, with underlying assets covering on-chain US Treasury bonds, compliant MMF strategies, and other diversified yield sources. The mainnet is expected to officially launch in the second quarter of 2025.
