ChainCatcher reported that, according to Cointelegraph, Trump's MEME token team denied rumors circulating on social media claiming that official TRUMP token holders need at least $300,000 to attend an upcoming dinner with Trump.
The rumor originated from community members referencing a Solana blockchain explorer showing token contract address holders. As of the time of writing, the explorer showed that the 220th holder possessed 33,114 TRUMP tokens, valued at over $400,000. However, the MEME token team stated that the explorer did not reflect their standards.
The team wrote in their statement: "People have incorrectly used the 220th holder's data from the blockchain explorer as a qualification line, which is inaccurate. This is because the data includes locked tokens, exchange positions, market maker positions, and holdings of users not participating in the event. The actual participation qualification should be based on the official leaderboard."
According to the MEME coin website information, the team will select winners based on "time-weighted holdings", a metric that comprehensively considers the number of tokens held and the duration of holding.
Additionally, Trump's MEME token team clarified that rumors about "unlocking a large number of tokens" for this competition are also untrue. They noted that the user "Sun" currently leads with 1,176,803 TRUMP tokens (valued at approximately $14 million), while the 220th-ranked user "HAR" only holds 35.3 TRUMP tokens (valued at about $420).
