This is the data released by Multichain's (formerly Anyswap) Official Twitter in 2021, when it already supported 25 public chains and connected 1,153 ecosystem projects. At that time, public chains were flourishing, and cross-chain bridges were like "money printers".

In just a few years, nearly half of the projects on the image have disappeared, and Multichain itself is also deeply embroiled in controversy. The narrative of public chains seems to have been falsified, and the number of cross-chain bridge users has plummeted.

In the crypto world, what truly determines victory is never code, but the interplay between liquidity, power, and regulation. The rise and fall of BUSD is not merely a tragic tale of a stablecoin, but a financial war waged by exchanges attempting to "unify the world."
