PANews reports on May 22 that according to DL News, the XRP Futures ETF (ticker: XRPI) launched by Volatility Shares was listed on Nasdaq today, becoming the world's first XRP futures ETF. The fund will indirectly invest in XRP futures contracts through a Cayman Islands subsidiary and plans to allocate at least 80% of its net assets to XRP-related derivatives. Additionally, the company plans to launch a 2x leveraged XRP futures ETF to provide a higher risk-return exposure.
Analyst Eric Balchunas noted that the previously launched 2x leveraged XRP product by Teucrium has managed $120 million in assets, with an average daily trading volume of $35 million, suggesting potentially strong market demand for the new ETF. CME has also recently launched XRP futures contracts, further driving market expectations for an XRP spot ETF.
