HOGWASH! Trump made Powell the Chairman of the Fed and the Fed has been staffed 50% by republicans. The Fed has had decent as recently as last month. The reason they haven't cut rates has nothing to do with politics. It's because President Trump decided to pursue an unprecedented tariffs strategy from April to June, that could have been massively inflationary If they had not backed down we might be sitting here with a 3.x+ inflation rate -- which we are right below at 2.7 at the moment. It was COMPLETELY reasonable for the Fed to say "let's see the impact of tariffs" and pause for 2-3 months. In fact, that seems to have been the optimal decision. This administration should just take ownership of their own creative/shocking strategies. Not everything is partisan, sometimes you just don't execute well or you take too many chances and get pushback. #iswis
