Dunamu announced on the 11th that it will hold 'D-CON 2025' at the Fairmont Ambassador Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul on the 19th.
D-CON is a policy seminar hosted by Dunamu, the operator of Upbit, since 2023 to promote the healthy development of the cryptocurrency industry. This year's conference, themed "Next Korea, K-Cryptocurrency," will feature politicians from both the ruling and opposition parties, as well as digital asset experts.
The session consisted of three topics: ▲Discussing the path of the new political generation and K-cryptocurrency ▲K-syndrome, what needs to happen to cryptocurrency as well ▲How cryptocurrency is changing the global financial ecosystem.
The first session, "A New Political Generation Discusses the Path of K-Cryptocurrency," will feature Rep. Kim Jae-seop of the People Power Party, Rep. Chun Ha-ram of the New Reform Party, and Rep. Hwang Jeong-ah of the Democratic Party of Korea (in alphabetical order). These politicians, all newly elected to the 22nd National Assembly, will engage in a candid discussion about domestic cryptocurrency industry policy and its future direction.
The second session will explore ways to secure the global competitiveness of the domestic cryptocurrency industry. Professor Ryu Hyuk-sun of the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) will present on the challenges and solutions for "K-cryptocurrency assets" to inherit the "K-syndrome" sparked by cultural content. The discussion will also be attended by Professor Park Hye-jin of Sogang University, Professor Cheon Chang-min of Seoul National University of Science and Technology, and Han Seo-hee, a partner at Barun Law Firm.
As cryptocurrencies emerge as a central element of future finance, a forum will be held to discuss this phenomenon and countermeasures. Professor Park Jeong-ho of Myongji University will present the discussion, followed by Professor Kang Hyung-gu of Hanyang University, Kim Hyo-bong, a partner at Pacific Law Firm, and Lee Hyo-seop, a senior research fellow at the Capital Market Research Institute. All sessions will be moderated by Goran Algoran CEO.
Oh Kyung-seok, CEO of Dunamu, said, "This is a time when we need various policy proposals like the United States so that the cryptocurrency industry can become one of the industries that will lead the future of Korea." He added, "D-CON will go beyond simple academic discussions and become a place where policy, industry, academia, and the legal community come together to present a future vision for the domestic cryptocurrency industry."
Meanwhile, those wishing to participate in D-CON can apply through the pre-registration page (https://ds.fdback.me/r/bLF9L2qu90CvY) located in the "Upbit News" section of the "Customer Center" section on the Upbit website. Participation is free.
