The efficiency gains brought by AI far surpass those of railways (exponentially). Railways solved the problem of transport capacity; an inaccurate analogy is that they increased transport capacity and speed by an order of magnitude (based on horses). AI solves the problem of intellectual capacity, increasing human intelligence by an order of magnitude, and it continues to grow. It allows everyone to become an Einstein, Edison, or Musk. If Watt propelled the Industrial Revolution, Einstein shaped modern physics, the Silicon Valley Eight ignited the semiconductor revolution, Musk launched space exploration, and the Turing Award-winning AI trio initiated the artificial intelligence revolution, then AI will be able to create (or replace) such people on a massive scale with exponential capabilities. The growth potential that AI has already brought is beyond human control. The growth potential that AI will bring may be beyond human comprehension.
