Kitty @CatoKt4 has been urging me to get a new computer many times over the past two years, and my answer has always been that it's a bit expensive, similar to Penguin's opinion. Thinking about it, nearly 20,000 RMB seems a bit excessive. My M1 Mac, although a bit old and laggy even when running Excel, is still pretty capable. Every time I think about it, I say, "Let's wait for the new one to come out." This time, I'm also planning to wait for the M5 to come out before considering it. Actually, I don't use my laptop very often. At home, I still prefer my desktop. Speaking of which, I bought my desktop for over 6,000 RMB including a monitor when I first arrived in Singapore, and I've been using it patched up for over two years. It's clearly an important productivity tool, yet I've been reluctant to spend money on it. I need to reflect on that.
