The potential of social media is incredible - you have so much potential to explore the evidence of something and then come to an enlightened opinion a bit later. This is called rationality.
The reality is that this is short-circuited by a rush to judgement... any investigation that might run counter to the accepted narrative is condemned as 'leftist' etc. Sheer madness.😒
Of course, when you are investigating at the start, when you have yet to come to a conclusion, you have to entertain various ideas... and then rule them out in a process.
This does not generally happen on social media because people do not want to appear wrong on something.... but that is part and parcel of the process.
For example, my suggestion of an innocent U-turn would be invalidated by finding out they were protesters... and had been involved with protest earlier.
This would go to further explain the situation, where further questions would be raised - was this personal? Were the ICE agents familiar with these women from previous incidents?
