Claude Code tips that save me time
1. Memory files
I have two specific files for long term and short term memory. Prompt Claude to always read them at the start of a session. You can automate saving sessions automatically too but requires a bit more tinkering.
2. Batch files for different configs
I have different batch files that take me to my model and permissions of choice. I have different files for Sonnet and Opus, batch files for Yolo mode, regular, and sandbox. It just makes your life easier.
3. Plan mode
For more complicated projects, plan mode is great. Tell it what you are trying to do and Claude will help you narrow down your scope. Ideal for trying to oneshot projects.
4. Plugins
There are some great plugins that make a major difference to Claude Code. My favorite ones so far are Superpowers which is great for larger workflows, Playgrounds which lets you create interactive HTML pages, code simplifier and Frontend design.
5. Takopi
Created by Banteg, Takopi lets you run your Claude Code or Codex sessions straight through Telegram. The interface is very intuitive and it makes working on mobile so much easier.
6. User Profiles
This is more for writing, but you can create user profiles for specific people and constantly train that voice over time. Feed writing material, score output, and sharpen it over time.
much love my Minty
