Diversification is overrated for most investors. But here’s the nuance people miss. If your portfolio is in the 8–9 figure range, diversification matters. At that level you’re protecting wealth, not trying to 10x it. As Stan Druckenmiller says: "Put all your eggs in one basket and watch the basket very carefully." When I found crypto six years ago my capital was scattered everywhere. Stocks. Property. Random bets. I was fooling myself thinking I had an edge across all of it. Reality check: I don’t have a meaningful edge in stocks or property. My edge is in crypto. With a smaller capital base, over-diversifying can limit your upside. Diversification protects wealth. Concentration builds it. In 2026 I’m simplifying: Fewer positions. Higher conviction. Know where your edge is. Then size accordingly.
