Pichai describes using Gemini before important meetings to find out what the other party might be interested in. Decisions that previously took days of research can now be made in seconds thanks to AI.
The CEO of Google said these tools help him work more efficiently, especially in programming. He believes that processes using prompts save time so he can focus on more valuable tasks.

Commentary following the launch of Gemma 4 and Google's push for open source.
The interview took place just days after Google launched Gemma 4 on April 2, 2024. This is an open-source multimedia model released under the Apache 2.0 license.
The product line offers multiple versions, ranging from compact devices to powerful models with 31 billion parameters. Each version caters to different needs, such as operation on mobile phones or in cloud data centers.
Pichai emphasized that this release is proof that no one can build AI alone. He also pointed out priorities that Google needs to focus on, such as: energy infrastructure, cybersecurity, deepfake detection, and improving workforce skills.
These observations come as AI agents are expected to contribute to over 9,000 job losses in the tech industry in 2026. Simultaneously, crypto teams are racing to build identity verification layers for AI agents participating in the digital financial system.
Pichai's comments suggest that Google plans to play a central Vai in this major shift rather than ceding the position to others. He also believes that the explosion of personalized AI will happen sooner than most of the market anticipates.
