PANews reported on April 17 that according to CoinDesk, the crypto exchage Kraken announced that it will release its self-hosted crypto wallet, which can be used by Kraken users and non-users. The wallet will initially support eight blockchains, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and Dogecoin. The Kraken wallet is open source and developers can access and contribute to the code. Kraken will also pay developers who discover vulnerabilities through the open source funding program so that they can improve the wallet when errors occur. Kraken said that the wallet will collect "the absolute minimum amount of data as a wallet function", which is in line with the privacy principles valued by many cryptocurrency users.
