빗썸에서 실수로 수백명 사용자 계정에 각각 2000 BTC를 오입금한 사고가 발생한 것으로 추정된다. 이로 인해 오늘 19시 30분경 비트코인 가격이 타 거래소 대비 10% 이상 급락했다. 복수의 암호화폐 커뮤니티에 따르면 빗썸이 랜덤박스 경품으로 2000원을 지급하려다 실수로 단위를 BTC로 적은 것으로 추정된다. 해당 비트코인이 입금된 일부 계정에서는 '서비스가 차단된 계정'이라는 안내 문구가 표시됐다. 현재까지 빗썸 측의 공식 공지나 입장 발표는 없는 상태다.

It's believed Bithumb mistakenly deposited 2,000 BTC to hundreds of users' accounts. This caused the Bitcoin price to plummet by more than 10% compared to other exchanges around 7:30 PM today. According to multiple cryptocurrency communities, Bithumb attempted to award 2,000 won in random box prizes but mistakenly entered the denomination as BTC.
