Hong Kong, April 28, 2026 – Pharos Network, a Layer 1 public blockchain focused on real-world finance, today officially announced the launch of its “Pacific Ocean” Mainnet and native token, marking the full-scale production phase of this project, which has raised a total of $52 million in funding and is valued at nearly $1 billion. Pharos aims to address the core challenges that have long plagued the tokenization of real-world assets, such as fragmented distribution and the lack of institutional-grade infrastructure, through a compliance-friendly architecture.
Previously, Pharos' public testnet processed nearly 4.3 billion transactions in less than a year, covering more than 200 million wallet addresses, which fully validated the network's early market demand and production-grade maturity.
To date, Pharos has raised a total of $52 million in funding, including a $44 million Series A round led by multiple institutions from the traditional technology, finance, and crypto sectors. Furthermore, it has entered into a strategic capital partnership with GCL New Energy (HKEX: 0451), a Hong Kong-listed energy company, pushing its valuation close to $1 billion.
Currently, the tokenization of real-world assets, exemplified by US Treasury bonds, is progressing rapidly, but large-scale deployment still faces two major obstacles: on the one hand, asset distribution channels are highly fragmented, making it difficult for funds to flow efficiently between different platforms; on the other hand, institutional investors have raised higher requirements for compliance management, the controllability of trading and portfolio data, while the market has long lacked the infrastructure to meet such needs.
To address this, Pharos has created a compliance-first, privacy-friendly infrastructure that enables seamless integration of real-world assets into various on-chain markets. Institutions and users can interact with tokenized assets within a unified framework, retaining significant autonomy over data sharing methods. Once integrated, users can more easily exchange, lend, trade, and settle real-world assets across different applications, reducing wear and tear, improving asset distribution efficiency, and facilitating the efficient flow of liquidity across various financial applications. Projects developed using Pharos can be directly deployed within this ecosystem, instantly gaining access to core capabilities such as shared liquidity, interoperable infrastructure, and compliant stablecoin integration.
This launch comes at a crucial juncture as the tokenization of real-world assets evolves towards a multi-trillion dollar scale. With increasing institutional participation, the market's demand for infrastructure capable of supporting large-scale, high-efficiency on-chain financial activities is becoming increasingly urgent. Pharos positions itself as the infrastructure for "RealFi," dedicated to providing underlying support for the on-chain implementation of real-world financial activities.
At the ecosystem integration level, Pharos has integrated the OKX wallet and the self-custodied wallet TopNod, allowing millions of existing users to participate conveniently without having to re-register. Simultaneously, the Pharos mainnet will integrate USDC and the cross-chain transfer protocol CCTP, providing reliable guarantees for compliant liquidity transfers.
In terms of ecosystem development, Pharos launched "Native to Pharos," a global incubator program with a total scale of $10 million, bringing together a growing group of real-world asset application partners. It is expected that more than 50 ecosystem dApps will be deployed simultaneously at the start of the mainnet launch, covering diverse areas such as asset issuance, trading, and financial services.
Prior to its mainnet launch, Pharos had already demonstrated its early capital aggregation capabilities through its high-yield RWA treasury: the initial phase raised over $15 million in pre-staking, and the total $50 million quota was fully subscribed within days. Based on this foundation, Pharos has enjoyed both a vibrant application ecosystem and substantial on-chain liquidity since its launch.
Pharos co-founder and CEO Wish Wu stated, "Institutional involvement was once just a concept, but now it's a reality. This mainnet launch will transform that momentum into real-world capabilities that the entire ecosystem can utilize."
