FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) was sentenced to 25 years in prison on the 28th. Most of the crypto community believed that the sentence was far from enough. Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin pointed out that compared to the crypto villains of the previous era, Mt. Former Gox CEO Mark Karpeles is the only one who deserves forgiveness.

ToggleVitalik: Former Mt. Gox CEO deserves forgiveness
Vitalik's tweet did not mention SBF, saying:
Among the crypto villains of the previous generation, the only one worthy of redemption is Mark Karpeles (former CEO of Mt. Gox), precisely because he did not make a big publicity call to return to the mainstream like others, he just quietly did interesting things. . Take a look at how different his tweets are from those people.
In contrast, Mark Karpeles mostly talked about non-encryption related matters on Twitter, except that he was happy that Mt. Gox began to repay its loans.
The other picture shows 3AC co-founder Kyle Davies , who keeps commenting on his meme currency leveraged investment portfolio every day.
The only "crypto villain from a previous era" who deserves a path to redemption is Mark Karpeles @MagicalTux – precisely because he's the only one who's not clamoring for attention asking for one. He's just quietly doing interesting stuff.

SBF will be released from prison, and the founder of Dark Web Silk Road will be imprisoned until death
Jake Chervinsky, former legal counsel of the Blockchain Association and Compound, also commented on SBF’s criminal liability. Apparently he believed that justice was unfair:
If you are paying attention to all the news about SBF today, take a moment to compare with Ross Ulbricht. SBF is going to prison for 25 years, which is a long time, but he will still get out and move forward. Ross Ulbricht was sentenced to two life sentences plus 40 years in prison, which was unfair.
If you're following all the news about SBF today, take one moment to reflect on Ross Ulbricht.
SBF got 25 years. That's a long time, but he'll get out and have a life left afterward. @RealRossU got two life sentences, plus 40 years.
This is not justice. https://t.co/nOnKQFkctx
