Digital securities platform Securitize has raised $47 million in a new strategic funding round led by BlackRock. Chain developers Aptos Labs, Paxos, and stablecoin issuer Circle, are also among the investors.
Securitize said in a statement that the proceeds from the Capital round will be used for product development, global expansion and strengthening partnerships in the financial services ecosystem.

BlackRock's head of global strategic ecosystem partnerships Joseph Chalom will join the Securitize board of directors. Chalom calls the investment in Securitize a step forward in the evolution of a digital asset strategy that will help meet the future needs of customers.”
Securitize previously partnered with BlackRock as a transfer agent, token platform in March when BlackRock launched the USD Institutional Digital Liquidation (BUIDL) on the Ethereum chain . BUIDL is BlackRock's first Tokenize fund.
BUIDL invests in cash, U.S. Treasury bills and repurchase agreements, and pays cumulative daily dividends through monthly deposits of stable Token of $1. BUIDL holders have the option to transfer their shares to Circle in exchange for stablecoin USDC.
In the six weeks since its release, BUIDL has amassed a market Capital of $375 million to become the largest tokenized treasury fund, surpassing the U.S. Treasury Franklin OnChain (BENJI) 7 million dollars. According to RWA.xyz, there is currently $1.28 billion in assets locked in US treasuries and tokenized bonds.

Chief investment officer Hamilton Lane, who has been with Securitize since 2022, also contributed to the fundraising alongside ParaFi Capital and Tradeweb Markets. Aptos Labs Co-Founder and CEO Mo Shaikh said:
“Aptos Labs is a key player in bridging the gap between traditional and open finance in a very practical and globally accessible way. With leaders like BlackRock and pioneers like Securitize, there is no doubt that a significant part of the future of finance will happen on the chain .”
Securitize is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a broker-dealer and transfer agent and is a member of the self-regulatory organization of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
