Did people actually read the "peace proposal" they were convinced must have been secretly written by Russia? -- It includes a US-backed "security guarantee" for Ukraine, akin to NATO Article 5, whereby any future attack on Ukraine will be considered an attack on the entire "transatlantic community" -- It freezes much of the line of contact, so territory Russia declared it has seized will remain under Ukrainian control -- It says Russia cannot enter a "demilitarized zone" that will somehow be established on its own "de facto" territory -- It caps the size of the Ukrainian military at 600,000, which is almost triple the size of the Ukrainian military at the beginning of the war -- It imposes no apparent restrictions on US arms provision to Ukraine, which could be an important detail, since US-provided ATACMS were reportedly just used to strike Russian territory for the first time In what universe would Russia have written these provisions........?
